January 18, 1955 – March 20, 2018
Waterbury – Mr. Hugh K. White, 63, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, at the Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of Brenda Carneiro-White. Hugh was born January 18, 1955 in Scotland, son of the late James and Ann C. (Mullen) White. Hugh immigrated to the United States with his family at the age of 17, he attended Wilby High School where he excelled in cross country, track and boxing. He enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served honorably as a heavy vehicle operator. He was released from active duty in August of 1978 and continued to serve in the reserves until July of 1980. He worked for many years as a tool and die maker at several are manufacturing companies. He will be remembered for his love of horse racing. In addition to his wife, Hugh is survived by three sisters, Lizann Marshall, Dawn Jones and Rachael Chizinski and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, James White, Jr; three sisters, Joann Genest, Heather George and Kimberly Jorge and his nephew, Brian Huard. Inurnment with full military honors will be held at a date and time to be announced. Memorial contributions may be made in Hugh's name to the Wounded Warrior Project P.O.
