Waterbury- Mrs. Isabel (Brito) Carrasquillo, 95, passed away on Saturday, November 15 surrounded by her loving family. She enjoyed cooking delicious traditional meals for her family, sewing, spending time with her children, baseball, boxing, jokes and taking care of those she loved. She will be genuinely missed as there will never be another like her. She was the widow of Eleuterio Carrasquillo, whom she was married to for over 50 years.

Mrs. Carrasquillo was born December 5, 1918 in Maunabo, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Ruperto and Angela Rivera Brito.

She is survived by one son, Ivan Carrasquillo of Waterbury;  three daughters, Evelyn Fontan of Oakville, Isabel Carrasquillo of East Hartford and Sylvia Vargas of Hartford; four sisters; five grandchildren, David Fontan, Lisa Fontan,
Edwin Vargas III, Maribel LaLuz and Daniel Vargas; eight great-grandchildren, Alanah, Michael, Alex, Katherine, Ryan, Miguel, Jamie and Lola; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by one sister and seven brothers.

Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 18, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, November 19, at 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception Church. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery.
