Waterbury- Mr. James A. O'Dea, 80, died Friday morning, March 5, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Marilyn (Stack) O'Dea.
Mr. O'Dea was born May 3, 1929 in Waterbury son of the late Andrew and Mary (O'Shea) O'Dea. Raised in Waterbury he had attended local schools and had retired from Connecticut Light and Power after 42 years of employment. He had served honorably in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Thomas O'Dea of Wolcott; one daughter, Diane O'Dea of Oxford; one sister, Elizabeth Andrews of Waterbury; one granddaughter, Vanessa O'Dea and several nieces and nephews.
