Waterbury – Mrs. Jane C. (Russell) Cossette, 86, of Waterbury, passed away on Monday morning, April 28, 2014 at St. Mary's Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Philip A. Cossette, Jr.

Jane was born on December 25, 1927 in Waterbury, daughter of the late George Russell. Growing up in Waterbury, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Catholic High.

Jane is survived her four sons, Philip A. Cossette, III, Joseph Cossette and his wife Laura Jean, and David Cossette, all of Waterbury, and Martin Cossette and his wife Jennifer of Meriden; a brother, George Russell, Jr. of Maryland; three grandchildren, Steven, Xavier, and Elliott; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, James Russell, and a sister, Ann Sandford.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 2, 2014 at 10:00 A.M. at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Thursday evening, May 1, from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury.
