Obituary
Harwinton- Mrs. Jean M. (Hemingway) Miller, 75, formerly of Oakville and Waterbury, died Monday morning, June 20, at the Torrington Health and Rehabilitation Center. She was the widow of Donald J. Miller, Sr.
Mrs. Miller was born August 1, 1935 in Boston, Massachusetts daughter of the late Burton R. and Gladys (Stewart) Hemingway, Sr. She was raised in Waterbury, attended local schools and was a graduate of Wilby High School and had retired from the former Unisys Company in Waterbury. Jean will be remembered for her trips to the casino, playing cards, enjoying her trips to Arkansas and most of all the joy she found in her time with her children, grandchildren, extended family and friends.
She is survived by two sons, Don Miller, Jr of Sherwood, AR and Brian Miller and his wife Jody of Harwinton; one daughter, Debbie A. Davis and her husband Edward of Harwinton; one brother, Burton R. Hemingway, Jr of Wolcott; three grandchildren, Christian, Olivia and Brian and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother Harold G. Hemingway.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24, at 10:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck. Calling hours are Thursday evening from 6:00 P.M. to 9:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
