Waterbury – Jesus Serrano Sr., 72, passed away on Monday, October 26, 2020. He is the husband of Santia Rivera. Jesus was born in Ponce, Puerto Rico on June 2, 1948, son of Victoria Rivera and the late Gonzalo Serrano. Including his wife, Santia; and his mother, Victoria, Jesus leaves behind his children, Digna Acosta; Mayreen Serrano; Giselle Serrano; Jesus Serrano Jr.; and Jonathan Serrano; his siblings, Francisco Vasquez; Maria Ruiz; Wanda Ruiz; Miguel Serrano; Manuel Serrano; and Antonio Serrano; and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. A funeral home service will be held on Friday, October 30 at 1:00 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. to the time of the service. Masks and social distancing are required during attendance. Burial will follow in Pine Grove Cemetery.
