Waterbury- Mr. John H. Barlow, Sr, 84, died Saturday morning, November 22 at his home. He was the husband of Marion (Ward) Barlow.
Mr. Barlow was born May 1, 1924 in Waterbury son of the late Edward and Delia (Hayes) Barlow. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and was a graduate of Crosby High School and had served honorably in the United States Air Force. He had retired form the Torrington Supply Company after working for 35 years in sales.
In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, John H. Barlow, Jr and his wife Deborah Barlow of Middlebury; one daughter, Mary Jane Barlow of Waterbury; one sister, Helen Duggan of Chatham, MA; two grandchildren, John H. Barlow III and his partner Scott Rudin of New York, NY and Julie McDonald and her husband Thomas McDonald of Middlebury and three great grandchildren, Annie, Kate and Will McDonald all of Middlebury. He was predeceased by a brother, Wesley Barlow.
Mr. Barlow's family would especially like to thank Bridget, Cindy and the staff of the Hope Team of the VNA Healthcare for their dedication and outstanding care of Mr. Barlow during his illness.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 25 at 9:00 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury to St. Anthony's Church, Prospect, for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M.
