Waterbury- Mr. John A. Druan, 86, of Suffolk St. died Wednesday, May 21 at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of the late Blanche (Levesque) Druan.
Mr. Druan was born May 19, 1922 in Waterbury son of the late Edward and Anna (Dowling) Druan. Raised in Waterbury he attended local schools and served honorably in the United States Navy during WWII. He retired from Bristol Babcock were he had worked as an instrument calibrator for over thirty years. He enjoyed reading and watching golf.
He is survived by three sons, Michael J. Druan of Waterbury, John T. Druan of Lake Park, FL and Richard A. Druan of Wolcott; one daughter, Patricia K. Dean of Waterbury; three brothers, William Drew, Thomas Druan and Robert Druan all of Waterbury; one sister, Shirley LaBonte of Wolcott; eight grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. He was predeceased by a daughter, Beverly Druan.
Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, May 28 at 10:00 A.M. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Inurnment with full military honors will follow in Calvary Garden Mausoleum. There are no calling hours. Arrangements are in the care of the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury.
