Waterbury – Jose M. Burgos, 71, passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 26, 2019 surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Neida Casiano for 42 years. Jose was born in Barranquitas, Puerto Rico to Jose M. Burgos Sr. and Marcelina Torres. Including his wife, Neida, Jose is survived by his sons, Victor Fuentes; Miguel Burgos; and Jose Burgos; his daughters, Miriam Satifka; and Sonia Rodriguez; his siblings, Jesus Burgos; Adela Burgos; Anibal Burgos; and Papo Burgos; his grandchildren, Melissa Costa; Arianna Fuentes; Frankie Atanacio; Victor Fuentes Jr.; and Deanna Fuentes; many nieces, nephews, and extended family. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 30 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. Funeral services will be held on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home to the Shrine of St. Anne, 515 S. Main St., Waterbury for Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
