Colchester, VT - Joseph P. Azukas, Jr, 49, formerly of Waterbury. Passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 16, at his home. Joe was born April 15, 1974, in Waterbury, son of the late Joseph P. and Julia M. (Dionne) Azukas. Raised in Waterbury, he attended local schools and was a graduate of Kaynor Technical High School. Joe worked in retail for over 30 years, most recently employed by Target as a manager. He was passionate about his bowling career that started at a young age as a junior bowler. With many achievements, awards, and records along the way. Oftentimes Joe could be found at a local lake or pond fishing, looking for eagles and enjoying the outdoors. He was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Boston Red Sox and Boston Bruins. Joe is survived by his daughters, Jean S. Azukas of Bristol, and Sara J. Azukas of Wallingford; his granddaughter, Lilian R. Azukas; his former wives and friends, Crystal (Flood) Azukas of Keene, NH and Marsha Hillman of Wallingford and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 25, from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 A.M. at the New Pine Grove Cemetery 850 Meriden Rd. Waterbury.
