Obituary

Boynton Beach, FL – Mr. J. Richard Bisaillon, 70, formerly of Waterbury, died on Thursday, January 1, at the Pine Crest Rehabilitation Center in Delray Beach, Florida. He was the husband of the late Regina (Healey) Bisaillon.

Richard was born September 21, 1944 in Waterbury, son of Rita (Rousseau) Bisaillon of Wolcott and the late Isidore Bisaillon, Sr. Raised in Waterbury he was a graduate of St. Anne's Grammar School and Crosby High School. For over thirty years he had been employed as a butcher at Pathmark Supermarket in Waterbury. Following his retirement in 2007 Richard and his late wife, Regina, moved to Boynton Beach where he subsequently worked as a butcher, part time, at BJ's Wholesale Club. He was a lifetime member and past president of the Franco American Club in Waterbury.

He will be remembered as a great cook and an avid New York Yankee and New York Giant fan. But most of all he will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather who will be missed by all who knew him.

In addition to his mother he is survived by five daughters, Nicole Berdan and her husband Steven of Waterbury, Danielle Bisaillon of Boynton Beach, Lorisa Bisaillon of Waterbury, Tanya Bisaillon of Naugatuck and Tara Bisaillon of Boynton Beach; four brothers, J. Raymond Bisaillon of Waterbury, Isidore Bisaillon, Jr of Naugatuck, Daniel Bisaillon of Waterbury and Francis Bisaillon of Wolcott; three sisters, M. Laura Chartier of Waterbury, Sister Michele (Irene) Bisaillon, DHS of Putnam and Claudette DelPrete of AR; four grandchildren, David Bedard, Marissa Bisaillon, Kyla Nixon and Jaelyn Nixon; two great-grandchildren, Michael Defederico, Jr and David Bedard, Jr; his sister-in-law, Marilyn Mathieu of Waterbury and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, January 14, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. at the Shrine of St. Anne, South Main St. Waterbury.
