Waterbury – Mrs. Julia Ann Bertrand, 73, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, at her home surrounded by her family. She was an avid negotiator, homemaker and loving grandmother to all of her grandchildren. She is now joined with her lifelong partner, Wilbur Speaks, Sr, daughter Sherry Speaks and son Wilbur Speaks, Jr. In her departure she leaves behind her beloved daughter, Christina Lee Speaks, son-in-law, Lee Mannix, her grandchildren that she leaves behind are, Jennifer Luisi, Christina Truche, Christopher Mannix and Amy Mannix; her great grandchildren, Destiny Gonzalez, Vivian Speaks and Christian Mercedes and was fortunate to also be loved by her great-great-grandchild, Chase Pettway. She will be forever missed. Funeral services will be private. Donations in Julia's name may be made directly to her family.
