Waterbury- Mrs. Julia Agnes (Bollard) Sathory, 84, formerly of Frost Rd., died Thursday, May 28 at the Cheshire House Convalescent Home in Waterbury.
Mrs. Sathory was born November 27, 1924 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Julia (Bulger) Bollard. Raised in Waterbury she was a graduate of St. Margaret's Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School. She had worked for Vickers Manufacturing for nine years and then went on to retire from Scovill Manufacturing Co. after twenty three years. While working for Scovill's she had worked as Employee Relations Supervisor for the corporate office building. She had served on the council for the Scovill's Girls Club and instituted and was named permanent chairperson for the scholarship program. She also served two terms on the executive committee of the Naugatuck Valley Personnel Council.
She is survived by two daughters, Susan Simons and her husband Vincent of Waterbury and Sandi Buono of Jupiter, FL; one sister, Ann Jane McDonnell of Waterbury; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Fleming of Naugatuck and Judith Holian of Plantsville and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her brother, Joseph Bollard.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Monday, June 1 at 9:00 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury to St. Margaret's Church for mass of Christian burial at 9:30 A.M.
