Kassie M. Melwood, 36, beloved daughter, sister and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 7, at the Waterbury Hospital. Kassie was born October 1, 1982 in Waterbury, daughter of Joyce K. Melwood and John A. Catallani. She was raised in Waterbury, attended local schools and had worked in landscaping. In addition to her parents, Kassie is survived by two brothers, Eric V. harrison and his wife Amanda of Naugatuck and Vale J. harrison, Jr and his significant other, Jenna Sedlak of Meriden; her maternal grandmother, Joyce Melwood of Middlebury; her step-father, Vale J. Harrison, Sr of Clinton; her niece Lily and nephew Dean. She was predeceased by her son, Jason Anthony Melwood. Services will be private
