Mr. Kim J. Harmon
WATERBURY — Kim J. Harmon, 45, of Transit Street, died suddenly on Sunday, December 16, 2007. He was the Husband of Rebecca (Sherman) Harmon.
Mr. Harmon was born November 20, 1962, in Waterbury, son of Maurice J. Harmon of Arizona and the late Diane M. (Russell). He was a graduate from Kennedy High School class of 1980, continued his education in journalism and received his Bachelor's Degree from UCONN in 1984. Kim was a sports writer for The Town Times in Watertown before becoming a Sports Editor at The Newton Bee Newspaper. He was a member of a vintage Baseball Team, The Sandy Hooks of Newtown, and enjoyed Golf, old movies, especially bad "B" rated films, the Yankees and the Giants, and he was a voracious reader.
Besides his father, Maurice and wife, Rebecca, he is survived by a daughter Melissa, two sons; Benjamin and Tyler of Waterbury, two brothers; Sean Harmon of Bristol,, Maurice Harmon of Seymour, seven nieces and nephews, many aunts, uncles and cousins. Arrangements: Friends and family are asked to gather Thursday, at 9:30 A.M. A Funeral Home Service will be at 10:00 A.M., at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. Burial will be private. Calling Hours will be Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
