Obituary

Waterbury – Lawrence Moye Andrews, 71, of Waterbury, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2015 surrounded by his loving family. He was the loving husband of Mrs. Barbara Andrews.

Lawrence was born on October 6, 1944 in Wareham, MA, son of John Andrews and Rose Perry. Lawrence served honorably and proudly in the United States Army where he was a Drill Sergeant. He worked as a tool and die maker for a number of years and later in life became a corrections officer at the Cheshire Correctional Institution until his retirement. Lawrence was an avid drummer, loved riding his motorcycle and fishing. He was a member of the American Legion and the Oakville VFW.

Besides his wife, Barbara, of Waterbury, Lawrence is survived by his children, Trisha Andrews, and Lawrence Richard Andrews; step-children, Taieesha Hill, Richard Hawk, and Jason Hawk; his sister , Christie Jalbert; 20 grandchildren; and 2 great-grandchildren.

He was pre-deceased by his sister, Cheryl Barboza.

Family and friends may call on Thursday, October 29, 2015 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 30 at 10 A.M. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery. Following the burial friends are invited to the American Legion, 62 Bunker Hill Ave., Waterbury
