Waterbury – Mr. Luis Abreu, 95, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, August 5, 2020, at Waterbury Hospital. He was the beloved husband of the late Felicita Abreu. Luis was born on June 29, 1925, in San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico, son of the late Francisco Abreu and Soltera Rodriguez. He is survived by his children, Leticia Abreu of New York, Joe Abreu of Bristol, Robert Abreu of Puerto Rico and Albert Abreu of Florida; his wife, Carmen Colon of Waterbury; two sisters, Aleja Cruz of NY and Suzana Morales of NY; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his son, William Abreu. He was an amazing father, husband, grandfather, and friend. He lived life to the fullest, was fun-loving and kind. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, August 10, at 11:00 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Church (Mary Mother of Church Parish), 67 Southmayd Rd. Waterbury.
