Obituary
Waterbury – Mrs. Luz M. (Rivera) Torres, 64, of Waterbury, was called home on Saturday, February 27, 2016 at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Luz was born on May 26, 1951 in Coamo, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Porfirio and Santos (Medina-Nieves) Rivera. Luz cherished the time she was able to spend with her loving family.
She is survived by her partner of 34 years, Chavo Resto; three children, Ana Torres, Gualberto Torres, and Alex Soto and his wife Michelle; her adopted sons, David Torres and Jovan Torres; five grandchildren, Chai-Lee Hing, Jazmine Torres, Jerimiah Soto, Amaliah Soto, and Noah Soto; great-granddaughter, Natalie Lopez; five brothers and sisters, Samuel Rivera, Hector Rivera, Felix Rivera, Carmen Torres, and Milagros Rivera; and several nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Saturday, March 5, 2016 from 9-11A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
