Waterbury – Mr. Manuel D. Vargas, 55, of Waterbury, died Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Manuel was born on January 6, 1958 in Penuelas, PR, son of Mr. Felix Cesar Vargas and his two mothers Ms. Elba M. Vargas and Maria A. Santos. He was a longtime resident of Waterbury and a communicant at Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church.
Manuel was a dedicated employee of Bozzuto's INC. since 1994. In his younger years, Manuel enjoyed playing softball. He was a big fan of the patriots and Mets, loved being outdoors, camping, and the time he was able to spend with his family. Manuel loved to joke around and bring big smiles out of everyone.
Manuel is his survived by his Wife/longtime companion of 31 years, Ms. Zulma Morales, of Waterbury; three daughters, Melba Vargas, of Vineland, NJ., Elba Vargas, of Waterbury, and Sherrielee Vargas, of Waterbury; two sons, Francisco M. Vargas, of Vineland, NJ., and Jose Vargas, of Waterbury; 12 brothers and sisters, eight grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements; Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, June 4, at Sacred Heart Sagrado Corazon Church at 10 am. Burial will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Monday, June 3, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury.
