Waterbury – Mrs. Margaret M. (Collins) Belval, 83, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 22, 2019 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Paul C. Belval with whom she shared 55 years of marriage. Margie was born July 15, 1936 in Waterbury a daughter of the late Christopher W. And Kathleen (Griffin) Collins and was a lifelong Waterbury resident. She was a graduate of Saint Francis Xavier grammar school as well as a 1954 graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School. Margie had worked at the Waterbury credit bureau for many years prior to her retirement. She loved traveling with her husband Paul especially to Cape Cod and Maine but mostly enjoyed spending time with her family. Margie was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception in Waterbury. Besides her loving husband Paul, she leaves her son Paul G Belval and his wife Dawn of Thomaston, her daughter Michele Gargano and her husband Joseph of Naugatuck her grandchildren, Katie and her husband Dan, Lizzie, Matthew and Ryan and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister Dorothy Henebery and her brothers Christopher M. Collins and William J. Collins. Family and friends may gather at the Bergin funeral Home 290 East Main St. on Sunday, August 25, from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, August 26, at 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. Friends are asked to meet directly at the church. Prayers of committal and interment will follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Watertown.
