Obituary

WATERBURY – Margaret M. (McGuire) Boisvert, 74, beloved wife of Raymond A. Boisvert of 55 years, died Wednesday, April 1, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. Born in Waterbury on June 4, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Eva (Moore) McGuire and was a graduate of Crosby High. She had resided in New Smyrna Beach, FL with her husband for 14 years prior to their returning to Waterbury in 2008. Mrs. Boisvert was employed by the City of Waterbury for 15 years, retiring in 1996. As a concerned citizen, she was active in Waterbury politics for many years and regularly attended and spoke at Aldermanic meetings. She enjoyed family events, reading, bowling and playing bingo.Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons & two daughters and their spouses: Donald Boisvert and his wife, Sandra of Wallingford; Raymond Boisvert and his wife, Deborah of Montclair, VA.; Susan LaPerriere and her husband, Raymond; Dennis Boisvert and his wife, Marian and Lisa Gabriel and her husband, Joseph, all of Wolcott. Also, a sister, Rosemary (McGuire) Rossi and her husband, Nicholas of New Smyrna Beach, FL, one brother, Jack McGuire and his wife, Irene and a sister-in-law, Rita McGuire all of Waterbury as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a loving grandmother to fifteen grandchildren: James, Michelle and Nicole Boisvert of Wallingford; Stacy Boisvert and her fiancé, Andrew Simmerman of Atoka, TN.; Raymond and Andrew Boisvert of Montclair, VA.; Brian and Kevin LaPerriere; Thomas, Christina, Sara and Conner Boisvert and Michael, Jacob and Leah Gabriel all of Wolcott. She was predeceased by three brothers, Thomas, Donald and Robert McGuire and two sisters & a brother-in-law, Kathleen McGuire and Ellen (McGuire) Sullivan and her husband, John, and one grandchild, Matthew Gabriel.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Waterbury VNA Hospice Hope Team who treated her with dignity and loving care.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 4 at 8:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury to St. Pius X Church in Wolcott for mass of Christian burial at 9:00 A.M. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Waterbury. Calling hours are Friday evening from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
