Obituary

Waterbury- Ms Margaret A. Derwin, died Sunday, September 7, 2008,
at her home.

Ms Derwin was born in Winsted daughter of the late Dr. James and Margaret (Truman) Derwin. She was a graduate of Crosby High School, received her Bachelors Degree in math from the College of St. Elizabeth in Convent Station, NJ, received her Masters degree in Guidance from Fairfield University and received her sixth year certificate from Central Connecticut State University. She also held a Masters degree in Administration and Supervision. She retired after thirty three years as a teacher at Crosby High School, was a member of the Waterbury retired teachers Association and was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception.

She is survived by two brothers, James Derwin and David Derwin; two sisters, Arlene VanCott and Mary Hoffman; one niece, Arlene Klesner and four nephews, Harold F. VanCott, James J. Derwin, James L. VanCott and Douglas R. Hoffman.

Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Wednesday, September 10 at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception at 10:00 A.M. There are no calling hours. Private burial will be in New St. Joseph's Cemetery.
