Hershey, PA- Mrs. Margaret (Donston) Dillane, 95, formerly of Watertown, CT and Waterbury, CT, died suddenly at her home at Country Meadows on Wednesday, August 18, 2009. She was the widow of Joseph F. Dillane; they had been married for 56 years.
Mrs. Dillane was born August 28, 1913 daughter of the late William and Jennie (Harkness) Donston. Mrs. Dillane grew up in Watertown as one of eight children and was a graduate of Watertown High School class of 1932 and in her youth had been a member of the choir at St. John the Evangelist Church. A Waterbury resident for many years she had been a communicant of Blessed Sacrament Church for over 40 years and was a member of the parish Ladies Guild Society.
Margaret moved to Hershey, PA in 1998 to be near her son, Robert. She enjoyed being a tap dancer at the Mohler Senior Center in Hershey and loved her community at Country Meadows.
She is survived by three children, Robert J. Dillane and his wife Deborah, William E. Dillane and Richard J. Dillane; three grandchildren, Erin E. Dillane, Kristen M. Dillane and Kevin W. Dillane.
Arrangements: A mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, August 22 at 10:00 A.M. at the Blessed Sacrament Church, 182 Robbins St. Waterbury. CT. Burial will follow in Mt.
