Waterbury- Mrs. Marguerite (McKenna) Wallin, 91, died Sunday evening, August 31, at the Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Robert C. Wallin.
Mrs. Wallin was born January 19, 1923 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Patrick J. and Mary (Brown) McKenna. Raised in Waterbury she attended local schools and was a graduate of Waterbury Catholic High School class of 1941. She loved to bake, cook, knit and was an avid reader but will be remembered most for her love of family.
She is survived by one son, Robert F. Wallin and his wife Nancy of Watertown; three daughters, Maureen A. Wallin of Lake Peekskill, NY, Debra M. Woods and her partner Kevin DeLeon of Waterbury and Judith A. DeSantis and her husband Richard of Watertown; six grandchildren, Marc Wallin, Maura Cawley, David Woods, Daniel Woods, Jake DeSantis and Maggie DeSantis; six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 4, from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday morning at 10:00 A.M. at Blessed Sacrament Church 182 Robbins St. Waterbury. Committal prayers will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
