Waterbury – Mr. Mario R. DiNapoli, 93, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, at his home. He was the husband of the late Barbara D. (Costello) DiNapoli.

Mario was born October 17, 1924 in Waterbury, son of the late Carmine and Filomena (Caligiuri) DiNapoli. He had served honorably in the US Navy during WWII, serving in the Asiatic Pacific Theater. Raised in Waterbury he spent most of his life as an auto mechanic serving many communities and businesses in the Tri-state area. He spent his later years caring for his ill wife.

He is survived by his son, William DiNapoli of Waterbury; His daughter Barbara Pagella of New Jersey, his granddaughter, Arianna DiNapoli and several nieces, nephews and grandchildren. He was predeceased by a son, Scott, a brother, Fausto and a sister, Mary (Maria).

Funeral services will be held on Monday morning, February 26, at 10:00 A.M. at Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Entombment with full military honors will follow in the Queen of Peace Mausoleum in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 9:00 A.M. until time of service.
