Devoted Wife and Mother

Waterbury – Marion Strohecker, 73, departed this life and entered eternal rest on Tuesday, November 14, 2017 surrounded by her loved ones after a courageous battle with ALS.

Marion was born in Waterbury, Connecticut, to the late John MacIver, Sr. and Marion (French) MacIver. She loved spending time with loved ones, knitting, crocheting, and crafting, playing video games, but most of all she loved rooting for her favorite football team, the Green Bay Packers.

She is predeceased by her husband, Heinz Strohecker, as well as two brothers, John MacIver, Jr. and James MacIver. Marion is survived by her three loving sons, Jesse, Mark, and Peter; three brothers, Chuck MacIver and his wife, Judy; Charlie MacIver; and Lee MacIver and his wife, Karen; her sister, Clyde MaCann, and her husband, Tom; a sister-in-law, Pat MacIver; as well as many nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends and loved ones on Saturday, November 25 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Wolcott.
