Torrington – Mary V. Bierce-Ferrari, 63, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021. Mary was born in Waterbury on June 28, 1958, daughter of the late George Bierce Sr. and Elisabeth (Haslam) Fitzmaurice. She was actively involved in mental health and recovery and volunteered for the crisis hotline. Mary's grandchildren and great grandchildren, who fondly knew her as "Meme," were the light of her life and she loved them all dearly. Mary leaves behind her children, Eric Bierce Sr., and his wife, Michelle; Leonard Walker, Jr.; Michelle Walker; Nicole Williams, and her husband, Jason; and Ryan Burns; her grandchildren, Mikayla Henderson; Malik Milinnifield; Eric Bierce Jr.; Victoria Bierce; Jason Williams Jr.; Aiden Aviles; Noah Walker; and Jaxson Williams; great grandchildren, Jayce and Jordyn Petteway; siblings, George Bierce Jr.; Elizabeth Bierce-Muscio; Regina Perlini; Daniel Bierce; and Sarah Hayne; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends. She was predeceased by her siblings, Claudia Bierce and Lawrence Bierce, Sr. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, November 10 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street, Waterbury. A funeral home service will be held at 6:00 p.m.
