Waterbury- Mrs. Mary B. (Kvaracieus) Kelly, 93, of Elmview Circle formerly of Stiles St., died Tuesday, August 12 at the Glendale Health Center in Naugatuck. She was the widow and devoted wife of 60 years to James Charles Kelly.
Mrs. Kelly was born January 26, 1915 in Waterbury daughter of the late Joachim and Mary (Geconis) Kvaracieus. Mary and her husband had been the owners of The Music Box Luncheonette on East Main St., as a young woman she had worked at St. Mary's Hospital for several years and had retired form Lakewood Metals.
A devoted communicant of St. Patrick's Church she had been a member of the church choir for over 12 years. Her hobbies included singing, dancing, playing games and cards with family and sharing in all of the family functions. The most important things in Mary's life were her love of God, her religion, her husband and family. Mary will be truly missed by all who knew her. The world is a better place for the 93 years she resided here.
Mary is survived by two sons, James "Red" Kelly of Waterbury, with whom she resided and John P. Kelly of Cheshire; three daughters, Marianne J. Mahon of Winsted, Dorothy B. Madden of Waterbury and Patricia A. O'Neill of Waterbury; a sister-in-law, Marion Cullen of Cape Coral, FL; a son-in-law, William J. Madden, Sr of Waterbury; a daughter-in-law, Mary Thompson Kelly of Cheshire; Mary was a devoted and loving grandmother of 16 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren; 3 nieces and 1 nephew.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 14 at 9:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury to the Church of the Epiphany in Cheshire for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. Entombment will follow in Calvary Garden Mausoleum. Friends may call at the funeral home from 8:00 A.M. until time to leave for church.
