Sarasota, FL- Mrs. Mary (Daly) Lapman, 90, formerly of Waterbury, died Wednesday, October 17, at the Sarasota Memorial Hospital. She was the widow of Francis Lapman.
Mary was born July 28, 1922 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Thomas J. and Mary E. (Holmes) Daly. She was a graduate of Saints Peter and Paul Grammar School and Waterbury Catholic High School. After the death of her husband she moved to West Palm Beach, FL with her two young children, Tommy and Patty, and worked as a respiratory therapist at St. Mary's Hospital in West Palm Beach for 20 years, retiring in 1985. She then went on to do private duty for many years.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Lapman of Sarasota, FL; her niece Donna (Daly) Griffith and her husband Bruce of Chatham, MA, formerly of Waterbury; seven nephews and many great-nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her beloved son Tommy and her brothers Dr. Thomas Daly, George Daly, Walter Daly and John H. "Jack" Daly.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 22, at 10:30 A.M. at Saints Peter and Paul Church. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St.
