Obituary
Watertown- Mrs. Mary H. Mulholland, 96, of 59 Caruso Drive, formerly of Waterbury, died with her beloved family at her side on Monday March 24, 2008 at her home. She was the widow of Archie Mulholland.
Mrs. Mulholland was born December 8, 1911 in Waterbury, CT, daughter of the late John and Catherine (Sullivan) Howard. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Waterbury and The New Britain Normal School. She received her Bachelor's degree in Education from Danbury Teachers' College in CT. She was a teacher in the Wolcott School System until she retired in 1979.
Mrs. Mulholland is survived by a sister, Kaye Dowling, of Waterbury; a son, Jack Mulholland, and his wife, Beth, of Delray Beach, FL; and a daughter, Kathleen Picard, and her husband, Ron, of Watertown, CT. She also leaves behind 9 grandchildren and their spouses: Ron and Margaret Picard, Kristen and Jim Vaillancourt, Kerri and Mike Nargi, Katie Gallino, Gretchen and Joel Pastore, Meghan and Michael Pogodzienski, Rob and Nancy Picard, Maureen and Jim Morris, and Kathleen Mulholland. The loves of her life were her 16 great-grandchildren: Carlie, Peter, Maryn, David, Delaney, Colin, Jack, Alexa, Andrew, Haley, Kate, Elyse, Erin, Alissa, Kathryn, and Kylie.
She devoted her life to her family and valued her many friendships. She was an avid reader, life-long baker, and passionate Boston Red Sox fan, living to see three World Series wins.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 28 at 9:45 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St., Waterbury to Saints Peter and Paul Church for mass of Christian burial at 10:30 A.M. Burial will follow in New St. Joseph Cemetery. Calling hours are Thursday, March 27 from 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and Friday morning from 8:45 A.M. to 9:45 A.M. at the funeral home.
