Waterbury – Mr. Michael Wagner, 74, passed away on Sunday, July 7, at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Janet (Crean) Wagner. Michael was born June 24, 1950, in Waterbury, son of the late Edward and Joan (Grady) Wagner. He was raised in Waterbury and went on to serve honorably in the United States Army during the Vietnam war, he was awarded the Purple Heart from wounds recieved in battle. After being discharged he went to work as a postal clerk for the United States Postal Service, retiring in 2005. In addition to his wife he is survived by his daughter, Carrie Wagner; his son in-law, Victor Rodriguez, Jr; his granddaughter, Alivia Rodriguez; two brothers, Edward Wagner and his wife Terese and James Wagner and his wife Kathy; his brother-in-law, Michael Crean and many nieces and nephews.
