Michele Capozzi, 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at VITAS Inpatient Hospice Unit at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Luigina (Pilla) Capozzi.
Michele was born in Santa Croce del Sannio, Italy on February 1, 1930 a son of the late Nicola and Angela Capozzi. He was retired after many years as a machinist for Scovill Mfg. and was a communicant of St. Lucy Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves his son, Lino Capozzi and his wife Mayda of Bethlehem; sister Antonietta Cassetta of Vernon, NJ; and three grandchildren, Daniella, Lino, Jr. and Michael; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Sebastiano and Giovanni Capozzi.
Calling hours will begin at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, August 22, 2014 at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury and will proceed at 10:30 a.m. to St. Lucy Church for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Committal services and entombment will follow in Queen of Peace Mausoleum at Calvary Cemetery.
