Milton Wyatt died on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the age of 88. Beloved father and grandfather, Milton is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Suzanne Wyatt of Southbury, CT and his two granddaughters, Jennifer Wyatt and Katherine Wyatt.
Milton was born in New York City where he resided for the rest of his life. An avid sushi-lover and opera-aficionado, Milton always lived life to the fullest. An enthusiastic traveler, his adventures brought about a lifetime of destinations spanning four continents, from Kenya to Pakistan, to the Far East and most of Europe, as well as the majority of the United States.
After earning a Bachelor of Science degree at New York University, Milt began his broadcasting career at WFAA in Dallas, Texas in the 1950s. Returning to New York, he spent 25 years with NBC as a successful film editor, culminating in multiple Emmy nominations and two victories in the 1970s. In addition, Milt pursued his appreciation for history by opening a memorabilia shop known as "Wyatt's Memorabilia" on Cornelia Street in Greenwich Village.
His true passion remained his family and friends. Anyone who met Milt would instantly feel touched by his electricity, kindness, and wisdom. A World War II veteran and knowledgeable historian, Milt always had an intriguing story to share.
His final days were spent surrounded by his family in Southbury, CT with the support of Regional Hospice of Western Connecticut. His laughter and love of life will never be forgotten. Cheers!
