Waterbury- Ms. Miriam I. Dox, 61, died Wednesday evening, December 1, at the Waterbury Hospital.

Miriam was born June 17, 1949 in Ponce, Puerto Rico daughter of the late Luis A. and Isabel (Gonzalez) Dox. She was raised in Waterbury and was a graduate of Crosby High School. She had served honorably in the United States Army and retired as a policewoman form the City of Waterbury Police Department in 1993. She will be missed immensely by her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Brenna Carmen Dox of Wolcott and Erica (Anderson) Callahan of Waterbury; two brothers, George L. Dox of Waterbury and Luis A. Dox of New Haven; one sister, Sonia Lugo of Waterbury; one granddaughter and two nephews.

Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 6, at 9:15 A.M. from the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. to Our Lady of Lourdes Church for mass of Christian burial at 10:00 A.M. Burial with military honors will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Calling hours are Sunday, December 5, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home.
