Obituary
Waterbury – Mrs. Monserrate Rodriguez, 91, of Waterbury, passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, April 30 2014 at Waterbury Hospital. She was the widow of Mr. Ezequiel Rodriguez.
Monserrate was born on February 2, 1923 in Penuelas, Puerto Rico, daughter of the late Enrique and Epifania Rodriguez. She was a communicant of Sacred Heart-Sagrado Corazon Church in Waterbury.
Monserrate is survived by her 12 children, Maria Luisa Rodriguez, Elisa Rodriguez, Anacelia Sepulveda, Rosa Rodriguez, Angela Rodriguez, Julia Loor, Manuel Rodriguez, Francisco Rodriguez, Ramon Rodriguez and Julio Rodriguez, all of Waterbury, and Radamas Rodriguez and William Alcalas of Penuelas, PR; and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, May 3, 2014 at 9:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart-Sagrado Corazon Church, 13 Wolcott St., Waterbury. Prayers of Committal will follow in Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends may call on Friday evening, May 2 from 5:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St.
