New Haven – Miss Nan Fanning Rabbott, 60, born in Hampton, Virginia and a New Haven resident died on June 23, 2015. Loving daughter of Nancy Fanning Rabbott of Hamden and the late John Patrick Rabbott. She also leaves her loving sister, Lisa Rabbott Anthony and her husband Timothy Anthony of Cheshire, her niece, Meghan Fanning Anthony of Washington, DC, nephew, James Jee Hak Anthony of Cheshire and her uncle, Richard D. Fanning of Cambridge, MA.
Nan was the granddaughter of the late Raymond and Helen Fanning of Waterbury. Mr. Fanning was the former editor of the Waterbury Republican American.
Nan was retired. She graduated from Albertus Magnus College in New Haven and thereafter worked at Anthem and other companies. Music was her love and her solace. She self-taught the guitar and could play a song without sheet music upon listening to it. She enjoyed the Beatles, Taylor Swift, James Taylor and many more artists. Nan also enjoyed jewelry making and swimming in the ocean on a warm summer's day.
Nan and her Mom had a wonderful bond. They were each other's touchstone. Lisa loved her dearly. We will be re-joined in Heaven.
