Mr. Nedim A. Mantselli
PROSPECT — Mr. Nedim A. Mantselli, 87, of Smokerise Circle, died Saturday, peacefully at his home. He was the husband to Sehare (Koso) Mantselli. He was born on December 10, 1921, to the late Asllan and Atixhe (Xhako) Mantselli in Vidohove, Albania.
In 1947 he became husband to Sehare, in 1951- Nedim moved from Albania to Greece then six years later he came to the U.S. and had to leave his wife and son because of Communism, he first came to Waterbury and was reunited with his family again in 1991, Nadim worked very hard to become the Owner of a Restaurant in Watertown, he has since retired. In 2006 he moved to Prospect with his family that helped to care for him. Nadim was a member of the Albanian Community Mosk on Raymond Street.
Besides his wife he is survived by one son; Neshat Meraja of Prospect; four grandchildren; Zamira, Anula, Orgeta, Lavdimir and his wife Elona, seven great grandchildren, Ardit, Enerik, Samantha, Erika, Kevin, Marsida and Eldi. He was predeceased by four sisters and eight brothers.
Arrangements: A funeral service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 A.M at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main Street. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling Hours will be (today) Sunday, 5:00 P.M. – 8:00P.M. and Monday from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
