Waterbury – Mr. Pedro A. Lopez, Sr., 68 of Waterbury died peacefully on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at Yale New Haven Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Marta (Rodriguez) Lopez.

Pedro was born on January 17, 1947 in Ponce, PR., son of the late Gonzalo Lopez and Maria Domingo Batista. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, Saturday afternoon happy hour with his wife and son, fishing and playing pool. Pedro will always be remembered as a real jokester and will be missed by all.

Besides his wife, Pedro is survived by his four children, Alex, Miriam, Ivette, and Pedro Jr., six brothers; five sisters; seven grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 24 from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday morning, June 25 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart – Sagrado Corazon Church, 13 Wolcott St. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
