Obituary
Peter J. Farrell passed away peacefully on Monday, January 26, 2015 at Silver Springs Nursing Home.
Peter was an Army veteran, stationed in Iceland and served honorably from 1958 until 1960.
Peter was predeceased by his father, Herbert P. Farrell Sr., his mother Ann Farrell and his brother, Herbert P. Farrell Jr. He is survived by 3 brothers; John, Paul, and Jim Farrell and two sisters; Sylvia Barbati and Margaret MacDonald. He also leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Peter was a graduate of Thomaston High School in 1959. He is known by family, friends, and all who knew him for his kind heart and gentle soul. He had a great love for drawing and shared these with his family for many years.
Calling hour will be held from 7:00-8:00 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 30 at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E.Main St. Waterbury. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, Jan. 31 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Margaret's Church, 289 Willow St. Waterbury, burial will follow in the Connecticut State Veterans Cemetery in Middletown with full military honors. Friends and family are asked to meet directly at church for 9:30a.m.
