WATERBURY- Senior Placido E. Rosado, 80, beloved husband of Elsie Alicea Rosado, passed away peacefully at the VITAS Inpatient Unit at St. Mary's Hospital on Friday, Nov. 24th.
Placido was born in Penuelas, PR on October 3, 1943. He was the son of the late Enrique Rosado Torres and the late Beatrice Cruz Velez. He moved to Waterbury at the age of 18 and worked at Whyco Chromium in Thomaston for 47 years.
Placido loved to spend time with family and friends. He was a devout Catholic and parishioner of All Saints Todos Los Santos Parish. He actively prayed the rosary with other church members and was a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Besides his wife of 60 years he is survived by his children Judy Plaza, Santia, Sandra, Enrique and Joel Rosado, Dorothy and her husband Chuck Dean, his grandchildren E.J. and David Plaza, Charlie and Nicholas Dean, Joshua and Jessica Rosado, many great grandchildren, and four brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews in Puerto Rico.
Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass on Tuesday November 28th at 10 Am in St. Anne Church/Todos Los Santos Parish. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery.
