Obituary
Waterbury – Mr. Rafael P. Aquino, 69, of Waterbury, passed away on Wednesday evening, April 23, 2014 at Wolcott View Manor surrounded by his loving family following an extended illness. He was the widower of Mrs. Genoveva (Gonzalez) Aquino.
Rafael was born on August 7, 1944 in Lares, Puerto Rico, son of Jose and Paulina (Perez) Aquino. Rafael was an avid fisherman, doing so whenever he had the chance. He cherished the time he was able to spend with his family and will be greatly missed.
Rafael is survived by his five sons, Jose, Rafael, Israel, Thomas and Enrique Aquino; three daughters, Marisel and Elizabeth Aquino, and Maria Crespo; a brother, Luis Lopez; several grandchildren; and three great grandchildren, Fabien, Juliana and Joel.
Family and friends may call on Saturday morning, April 26 from 9:00 am to 10:30 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury. Funeral services will take place at 10:30 A.M. at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Pine Grove Cemetery.
