Waterbury - Mr. Rafael Ruiz, 81, passed away on Monday, April 20, at Vitas Innovative Hospice at St. Mary's Hospital. He was the husband of Maria Retamar Ruiz. Rafael was born April 21, 1938 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, son of the late Antonio Ruiz and Angela Almodovar. In addition to his wife he leaves his sons, Rafael, Jonathan and Jensen Ruiz and his daughters, Maria and Vanessa Ruiz. Funeral services are private.
