Waterbury – Mr. Raymond Storez, 92, formerly of Watertown, passed away on Monday, January 20, at Autumn Lake at Bucks Hill.

Ray was born June 27, 1932, in Cecil, PA, the son of the late Desire and Josephine (Bourguignon) Storez. He served honorably in the United States Navy for 32 years. Upon his discharge, he worked as a Navy recruiter. Ray will be remembered for his love of square dancing, riding his motorcycle, and later in life, traveling in his RV, watching Jeopardy and dining out with his life partner, Barbara.

Ray is survived by two sons, Raymond Storez, (Kathy) of Oakville and his children, Raymond Storez and Danielle Storez; and Chuck Storez of Belmont, NH, and his children, Jillian Christian, Joseph Storez, and David Storez; one daughter, Diana Richard of Rocky Mount, NC, and her children, Bill Sendewicz III and Matthew Richard. He was predeceased by his children' s mother Patricia (Hufford) Storez, his daughter, Kathy Holloway, and leaves her children, Chuck Holloway and James Holloway; his niece, Mickey Gubitti of McDonald, PA; several nieces and nephews; and three great-grandchildren. He was also predeceased by his partner of 27 years, Barbara Ketrys, and leaves her children, Laurie Calabrese (Anthony) and Dawn Cabral, and their children, Jonathan Calabrese and Justin Cabral.

Friends may visit with Ray's family on Wednesday, January 29, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. A military prayer service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Burial will be at sea aboard a US Navy ship with full military honors at a later date.
