Waterbury- Mr. Richard H. Canfield, 98, died Friday morning, August 15 at Wolcott View Manor. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Fitzgerald) Canfield.

Mr. Canfield was born October 7, 1909 in Bennington, Vermont son of the late James and Ethel (Smith) Canfield. He retired from Chase Brass and Copper as a foreman after 44 years of employment.

He is survived by one Richard J. Canfield, Sr of Waterbury; one grandson, Richard J. Canfield, Jr of Delmar, NY; two granddaughters, Kelley Canfield of Waterbury and Kristin Soricelli of Waterbury and six great grandchildren, Alexa Nelson, Domenic Soricelli, Heath Canfield, Alexander Mark canfield, Maximus Soricelli and Ryland Higgins. He was predeceased by a grandson, Mark Alexander Canfield.

Arrangements: A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 20 at 10:00 A.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Naugatuck.
