Thomaston- Mr. Robert J. "Bob" DiDonato, Sr, 61, died Friday, November 9, at his home.
Bob was born July 25, 1951 in Waterbury, son of the late Russell and Mary (Saulenas) DiDonato. Raised in Waterbury he was a graduate of Tinker Grammar School and John F. Kennedy High School, class of 1969 and received an Associate's Degree from the New York City Community College. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, hiking, camping, boating, mountain biking and photography. He will be remembered for the joy he found in playing a round a golf or more simple things like playing his guitar, reading a book or a game of cards with friends and family.
He is survived by his son, Robert J. DiDonato, Jr of Thomaston; his daughter, Michelle DiDonato of Thomaston; his brother, Russell DiDonato of Oxford; his former wife Susan (DeMarest) DiDonato of Thomaston and many nieces and nephews.
Arrangements: Funeral services will be held on Thursday evening, November 15 at 8:00 P.M. at the Bergin Funeral Home 290 East Main St. Waterbury. Family and friends may call at the funeral home from 5:00 P.M. until time of service. Burial will be private.
