Morris – Robert Russell Overton, 42, of Morris passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2021. Robert was born on June 20, 1979 in Waterbury, son of Karen (Overton) and Skip Gelati. Robert enjoyed cooking and worked as a line cook for several years, a job that he loved. More recently, he worked as an Iron Worker. Robert was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan. He loved camping, fishing and spending time at the beach. He was known for his skateboarding and riding on his motorcycle. Besides his parents, Robert is survived by his partner, Elizabeth Loggins and their daughter, Katelyn; his son Zachary Overton; his three sisters, Kristina Nield and her husband Dylan (and their two children), Jennifer Walcott, and Lauren Gelati. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 17, 2021 from 5:00 to 7:00 P.M. at Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St., Waterbury. Burial is private.
