Watertown - Mr. Robert Campbell Voyzey, 62, of Watertown, passed away early Sunday morning, June 2, at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford.
Robert was born on April 20, 1951 in Niagara Falls, Ny., son of the late Charles A. and Jeanne (Morgan) Voyzey. Robert attended local school and was a graduate of Cheshire High School. Following high school graduation, Robert served honorably in the United States Army and was stationed in Okinawa to support the war in Vietnam. After his military service, Robert worked for the United States Postal Service retiring after 30 years. He is a lifetime member of the Oakville VFW Post # 7330 and the Watertown American Legion Post 195. He enjoyed watching NASCAR, his Mustang and spending time with family and friends.
Robert is survived by his brother, Charles "Mike" Voyzey and his wife, Mary, of Thomaston; two sisters, Carole Anderson and her husband, Andy, of Boise, Idaho, and Marcie Lee, of Watertown; niece, Lynn Puzzo; nephews, Clifford and Alan Ridlon, Charles Voyzey, and Joseph Lee.
A graveside service will be held at 10 am on Friday, June 7, 2013 at the State of Connecticut Veterans' Cemetery, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown.
