Waterbury – Mr. Rouen E. Coldspring, 78, of Waterbury, died on Tuesday, April 15, 2014 at Hartford Hospital. He was the husband of Mrs. Utilda Coldspring.
Rouen was born on March 28, 1936 in St. Mary, Jamaica, son of the late Charles and Elvira (Barnette) Coldspring.
Besides his wife, Rouen is survived by his eight children, Eileen Digsby, Janet White, Audrea Coldspring and Alesia Foster, all of Waterbury, Toney McLennon, Joy Coldspring, and Samantha Coldspring, all of Jamaica, and Novelette Johnson of Florida; 34 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter, Suzette Coldspring; one brother; and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, April 21, 2014 at 5:00 P.M. at the Shalom 7th Day Adventist Church, 84 Crown St., Waterbury, 06704. Burial will be held in St. Mary, Jamaica at a later date. Family and friends may call at the church on Monday from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. Bergin Funeral Home, 290 E. Main St., Waterbury has been entrusted with arrangements.
