Obituary
Southington- Mrs. Sabrije (Hoti) Gashi, 73, died on May 15, 2016, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 50 years, Ali Gashi.
Mrs. Gashi was born February 10, 1943 in Ratkoc, Kosovo, daughter of the late Haxhi and Zelfije (Thaqi) Hoti.
She is survived by two sons, Nexhmedin (Kujtesa) and Rafet (Servije); three daughters, Myrvete (Bashkim), Fitnete (Shpetim) and Lida; thirteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren; and her constant and faithful companions, Rose Pawlikowski and Cleo.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother who valued her time with her family and friends. Mrs. Gashi resided in both Gjakove, Kosovo and Southington, Connecticut. She and her husband were avid travelers and they traveled around Europe and the United States.
A wake will be held on May, 17, 2016 at Bergin Funeral Home from 5-8 pm. The funeral (burial) procession will leave Bergin Funeral Home at 12 noon on May 18, 2016 and proceed to Pine Grove Cemetery in Waterbury.
