WATERBURY – Sally (Cote) Hebert, 87 of 73 Alberta St., died Thursday at her home. She was the widow of Philip Hebert.
Mrs. Hebert was born in Waterbury on August 31, 1923 a daughter of the late Edward and Catherine (Moriarty) Cote and was a lifelong resident. She was a graduate of the Post Junior College Secretarial program and retired after many years as a legal secretary with the law firm of Carmody & Torrance. An avid reader, Mrs. Hebert also loved flowers and enjoyed gardening at her home. At one time she had taught water aerobics at the Waterbury YMCA and she enjoyed golfing and bowling. Mrs. Hebert was a communicant of the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception and was a member of its Ladies Guild. She was also a member of the Mattatuck Senior Center.
She leaves a son, Richard Hebert and his wife Kathy of West Haven; two daughters, Barbara Hebert of Kingston, NY and Joyce Hebert of Waterbury with whom Sally resided; a sister, Barbara Conlon of Waterbury; five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and two step grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. directly at The Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, 74 West Main St. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. There are no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the Salvation Army, 74 Central Avenue, Waterbury, CT 06702. The Bergin Funeral Home, 290 East Main St. Waterbury is in charge of arrangements.
